DAY 3 : ISTANBUL - ANKARA ( B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Ankara capital of the Republic of Turkey since 1923. On our way to Ankara, the beatiful Lake of Abant will be visited. Lunch en route. In Ankara visits include the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, the Citadel with its old quaint wooden houses and the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk founder of Republic of Turkey. Dinner at hotel in Ankara. |
DAY 4 : ANKARA - CAPADOCIA ( B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Depart for the Capadocia Region. Along the route Ihlara Valley with its rock carved churches will be visited. Lunch at Aksaray. Afternoon visit the pottery center of Avanos and the curious fairy chimneys of Urgup. Dinner at hotel in Urgup. |
DAY 5 : CAPADOCIA (B,L,D)

After breakfast full day tour of the moonlike landscape of Capadocia (Land of Beatiful Horses) inluding Uchisar rock formation, Goreme Valley outdoor Museum.Z elve Valley and the subterranean city of Derinkuyu or Kaymakli. Lunch during the tour. Dinner at the hotel in Urgup, there is also the opportunity to wine and diner in one of the cave restaurants of Urgup,where a folk and belly dancing show is also available. Cappadocia ia also famaous for its vineyards and the wines made here. |
DAY 6 : CAPPADOCIA - KONYA - ANTALYA (B,L,D)

After breakfast leaving Cappadocia, on route the Seljukian 13th century caravanserai of Sultanhani will be visited. Actually along this route many such buildings are to been seen just to give us 20th century travellers an idea about how tradesman travelled centuries ago on the Silk Road. Later the ancient capital of the Seljukian Turks, Konya will be visited to view its beatiful 13th century architecture, among which the main center of attraction is the Mosque and Mausoleum of Mevlana who lived in the 13th century as a great mystic. The sect of Whirling Dervishes he founded is still alive. After lunch continue to Antalya. Dinner at hotel in Antalya. |

Breakfast at hotel. Visit this capital city of the Turkish Rivieara and the surrounding ancient cities of Pamphylia. The ancient city of Perge was founded by Greeks after the Trojan Wars and it was famous for its Artemis cult. In nearby Aspendos the best preserved Roman amphitheater is to be seen. Our tour will also include the ancient city of Side and the ManavgatWaterfallls. Lunch will be provided. On our way back to Antalya a short stop at Duden Waterfalls. Dinner at hotel. |
DAY 8 : ANTALYA - PAMUKKALE ( B,L ,D )

Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Pamukkale. Luınch en route. The white calcerous terraces formed by calcium-rich hot spring water is the main attraction here and the name of Pamukkale literally means Cotton Castle. Not to be underestimated by this natural beauty is the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was an ancient spa which in the Roman times all races living then on Asıa Minor considered to be sacred. Therefore lots of old people come here to seek remedies to their illnesses and this explains the many types of tombs to be found in the extensive necropolis of Hierapolis, belonging to these people who chose to spend the last moments of their lives in the sacred city. Besides the necropolis, the amphitheater is well preserved and of high artistic standards. Just very near the theater is to be found the martyrdom of St. Philip.

DAY 9 : PAMUKKALE - BODRUM ( B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Out tour today will bring us to the quaint Aegean resort of Bodrum ancient Halicarnassus famous for the Mausoleum. Our tour will also include the St. Peter’s Castle built by the Knights of Rhodes which now also houses the Museum of Underwater Archeology. Lunch and dinner will be provided. |
DAY 10 : BODRUM - KUSADASI ( B,L,D )

Breakfast and continue to Kusadasi via Lake of Bafa. Visit the Temple of Apollo at Dydima where in the ancient Greek times an oracle was located. Lunch. Before arrival in Kusadasi a quick look at the foundations of Artemision, one of ancient world’s seven wonders. Dinner at the hotel in Kusadasi. |
DAY 11 : KUSADASI (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Today we will visit the ancient city of Ephesus which is considered to be the Pearl of the ancient cities. Highlights will be the Odeon, Celcus Library, Hadrian’s Temple,Trjan’s Fountain, The Agora, the Scolosticia Baths, the Marble Street and the Arcadian Way, leading down the port which is now silted up. In the Selcuk Museum we will see the statues of the Goddess Artemis and later on the Mount Nightingale, the House of Mary which has been declared apilgrimage site by the Christian world. Lunch at local restaurant. Back to Kusadasi and dinner at hotel. |
DAY 12 : KUSADASI - IZMIR-PERGAMUM - AYVALIK or CANAKKALE (B,L,D)

Breakfast at hotel. Continue to Izmir which is Turkey’s third largest city famous as the birthplace of Homer. In Izmir we will visit the newly resored Jewish quarter with its peculiar elevator and the promenade of Kordon. After lunch visit the ancient city of Pergamon with its Acropolis and the ancient healing center of Asclaepion dedicated to the God of Medicine Asclaepius, son of Apollo. Continue to Ayvalik an Agean resort town famaous with its archipelago which will be viewed from "Satan’s Table" on the top of a hill. Dinner at hotel in Ayvalik or Assos. |
DAY 13 : AYVALIK or CANAKKALE - ISTANBUL ( B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Continue to Troy the ancient city made famous by Homer’s Epic of Illiada. The wooden horse of Troy and nine layers of this prehistoric city await your discovery. Continue to Canakkale for a ferry crossing over the Strait of DArdanelles which is made famous by the Gallipoli Wars during the First World War. Lunch at Gelibolu. Continue along the Sea of Marmara to Istanbul. |
DAY 14 : ISTANBUL ( B,L )

After breakfast at hotel, We will start discovering this imperial city with a tour of the old city including visits of the Topkapi Palace. Ancient Byzantine basilica of Hagia Sophia later converted to mosque after the Conquest of Istanbul by Turks in 1453, the Roman Hippodrome where once chariot races used to take place, the Blue Mosque which displays some of the most significiant Turkish Blue tiles, Underground Cistern and the Grand Bazaar a maze of over 4000 shops selling jewellery, leather, souvenirrs and carpets. Lunch at local restaurant, return to hotel and overnight. |
DAY 15 : DEPART FROM ISTANBUL (B)
